Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an online computer-based test conducted by the National Testing Agency, India.

WHAT'S ON THE CMAT (MBA/MCA)?

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an online computer-based test conducted by the National Testing Agency, India. It is a national-level admission test for facilitating institutions of higher learning situated across the length and breadth of India to select suitable students for admission in Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs approved by AICTE.

CMAT score is also valid for the Master of Computer Application (MCA) program conducted by institutions of higher learning in Gujarat.

HOW THE CMAT IS STRUCTURED

CMAT has 100 multiple choice questions as per the following:

For each wrong answer 1 mark is deducted. Duration of the exam is 180 minutes. No sectional time-limit applies.

HOW THE DA-IICT M.SC. (IT) ENTRANCE TEST IS STRUCTURED?

The candidates are selected through an online proctored entrance test. Entrance Test The test evaluates the candidates on their mathematical aptitude, logical reasoning, basic programming, English comprehension. The candidate needs to solve 60 questions in the time duration of 90 minutes. All questions carry equal weightage. The correct answer for each question is awarded 4 marks; each incorrect answer invites a negative mark of -1. There is no section wise cutoffs. Exam Duration: 90 minutes. Pattern: Multiple-choice questions. Weightage: sectional weights are as given below:

Mathematics (10+2 standard) ( Includes Higher Maths topics like Calculus , Functions , Algebra , Discrete Maths etc.)	30%
Quantitative aptitude and Logical Reasoning – Questions drawn from Mathematics upto 10th standard and logical reasoning.	20%
C Programming – Basic Data Types, Language Control Structures, Arrays, Functions, Pointers, Dynamic Allocation of Memory, Structs, Recursion, Parameter passing and Scope.	30%

HOW THE DA-IICT M.SC. (DATA SCIENCE) ENTRANCE TEST IS STRUCTURED?

There are two components to the process:

(1) a computer based entrance test and

(2) an interview.

The entrance test carry 70% weightage and the interview 30%.

The candidates are shortlisted for the interview on the basis of an entrance test to be conducted through the online proctored test.

Interview is held for the shortlisted candidates based on their performance in the entrance test.

The final merit list for admission is prepared on the basis of the scores obtained in the entrance test and interview.

Entrance Test

The test evaluate the candidates on their mathematical aptitude, logical reasoning, and basic programming.

Pattern: Multiple choice questions (MCQ) from four sections – Mathematics, Statistics, Basic Computer Science (programming) and Quantitative Aptitude.

Exam Duration: 90 minutes.

Weightage: All questions carry equal weightage.

Negative Marking: The correct answer for each question is awarded 4 marks; each incorrect answer invites a negative mark of -1.

There is no section wise cutoffs.
